Privacy policy.
This page explains how Site Harbour collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, request a quote, or arrive through a referral link.
Last updated August 12, 2026. You can also read our terms or request a website quote.
Information you provide
When you request a quote, we collect the information you choose to provide through the form. This may include your name, business or company name, email address, phone number, country, type of business, service or plan interest, referral code or partner name, and the project details you submit.
If you become a client, we may also retain normal business records related to your project, support requests, website changes, service communications, billing, and account administration.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, some technical information may be collected automatically when you visit. Our hosting and security systems may record information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security-related events. We use this information to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and maintain the website.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. Analytics may collect information about page visits, traffic sources, device and browser characteristics, interactions with the website, and session activity. We use this information in aggregate to understand website performance and improve the user experience.
Cookies and referral attribution
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish users and sessions and measure website activity.
Site Harbour also uses first-party referral attribution cookies when someone arrives through an approved Partner Program referral link. These cookies help us connect an eligible lead or sale to the referring partner. If you enter a referral code or partner name in the quote form, that information may also be stored with your lead record for attribution and review.
Referral attribution is used to administer the Site Harbour Partner Program. It does not change the price shown to the customer.
How we use information
We use information collected through the website to:
- respond to quote requests and questions;
- recommend an appropriate Site Harbour plan or service;
- prepare estimates and communicate about potential or active projects;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- measure website usage and marketing performance;
- attribute eligible leads and sales through the Partner Program;
- maintain business, support, accounting, and administrative records; and
- prevent fraud, abuse, spam, or other misuse of our systems.
Marketing and sale of information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not provide quote-request information to outside marketers for their own marketing. Submitting a quote request does not automatically add you to an ongoing promotional mailing list.
If we introduce an optional marketing list in the future, we will provide a clear way to choose whether to subscribe and a way to unsubscribe.
Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers to help operate the website and our business, including website hosting and security infrastructure, email and communications services, analytics, and other technical systems. Information may be processed by those providers only as needed to provide those services.
Some service providers may process or store information in other jurisdictions. When information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a lawful request, protect Site Harbour or its users, investigate misuse, or enforce our agreements.
Storage and retention
Quote requests may be stored in our lead-management system, email records, project notes, and secure operational records so we can respond properly and maintain an accurate history of the request. Referral attribution information may be stored with the related lead or sale record.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, normal business administration, security, accounting, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping. When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted or anonymized.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your privacy requests
You can ask about personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information that is no longer required. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some records may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting, security, or legitimate business purposes.
Send privacy requests to legal@siteharbour.ca.
Third-party websites
Our website may link to client websites, the Site Harbour Partner Program, our U.S. website, or other third-party services. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not control how they collect or use information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, or privacy practices change. When we make a meaningful update, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page.
